COO COO KACHOO HAS BUMBLEBEEZ!
Gaining momentum like a run-away bullet train, Ten Pound Crew’s raging monster of a club night Coo Coo KaChoo returns Friday 14th September to Monastery Nightclub for a positive education in music, good times & smashing it!
For this very special Valley Fiesta edition, Coo Coo KaChoo presents; THE BUMBLEBEEZ (DJ Set). Performing alongside label mates the MODULAR DJS (GOEBBELZ) and nu-wave minimal hero BASS KLEPH. Local supports from Habebe, Sampology (Baltimore Mode) & Aniki.
Bumblebeez are riding high on the wave of success currently enjoying Triple J album of the week with their debut Prince Umberto and the Sister of Ill. This is one of the hottest break through acts in Australia now, with most of the worlds music community singing their praises. The album leaps all over the place, putting sounds together like a Madhatter's jigsaw puzzle – and with not a piece missing. The Bumblebeez own their sound and play with all the authenticity of a ground-breaking group who worship at the alter of fuzzed out blues, dirty rock 'n' roll and distorted electronica. Heralding from Canberra (who would have thought it....) and tipped to be one of the next biggest aussie acts in 2008! Signed to uber-cool record label Modular (Wolfmother, MSTRKRFT, Chromeo, Jack Johnson, Soulwax, Van She, Presets) you know it has to be the good stuff!
Coo Coo KaChoo (sing it with me....” I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus.......”) is a club night dedicated to breaking fresh sounds, party mayhem and all round good times! Coo Coo KaChoo is the mad scientist formula created by Ten Pound Crew, Brisbane’s leading entertainment & lifestyle company (Parklife, BBQ Breaks). Having packed dance floors through the winter season, Coo Coo KaChoo has been a resounding success bringing the likes of K.I.M (Presents), Sinden, Riot In Belgium, Hook N Sling, Knife Machine, Andee Van Damage and Tim McGee to take over the 1’s & 2’s, sending club kids into a spin!
